The Larder
I had a lovely meal here last night (it was my brother's birthday). I was very impressed with the place, I told the waitress as much so she told me about this great new website to review restaurants, so here it is as promised!!
We had three courses each, I had the more plush choice of duck, and I was very impressed to find how tender it was, I sometimes find duck too fatty, but this was superb. My brother and his wife had the special which was seabass if I remember correctly. They both said it was one of the nicest fish dishes they have ever had. My friend had the beef and guinness, after reading a review on it recently he wanted to try it. Apparently the review didn't do it justice!!
Overall it was a lovely night, wasn't too full, a nice bit of a buzz atmosphere. I also found our waitress and the manager really helpful with their food recommendations and their knowledge of the wine list. Finally restaurant staff with a passion for food and wine!!! I hope this is one of the places that survives the recession, I will definitely be back!!
